The Colours Of Stars When They Are Dying

the colours of stars when they are dying

are surely recorded now somewhere

in astronomical images stored

and archived for astronomers to share

but in my mind I see them falling

from earthly skies into otherwheres

in lemon fizz

or a pink and green so rarely seen

and violet in the last phases

and cinder scarred oh where they are

and heartfelt, fading in the maze,

the maze of all the Ages

I feel them rise again and fail

in scattered sequins and unveiled

and on a summer sky like chalk

turn pale

still try to shine and sadly falter

collapsing or relapsing into beauty

shimmering in a trail

wounded and wearied.

for all all such

energy is love

and Light, the most of all.
