The Coming Messiah Poem by Kubiat Bassey

The Coming Messiah

The hour draws nigh
For the coming messiah
What shall he be?
What shall our eyes behold?

Shall false prophets rise?
Proclaiming deeds never to be done?
Shall hungry sycophants
Shower upon him praises
That resound doom?
How many shall be sacrificed
To make way for the messiah?

the hour draws nigh
For the coming messiah
The clock ticks
While the people talk
