The Coming Of Bhagabati, Have You Not Heard The Footfall Of Hers On The Eve Of Mahalaya? Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Coming Of Bhagabati, Have You Not Heard The Footfall Of Hers On The Eve Of Mahalaya?

Have you not heard,
Have you not
Bhagabati is coming,
Bhagabati is coming?

The kash blooms are saying,
The fragrant seulis,
The bunches of cchatims
All but saying, saying.

Bhagabati is coming,
Bhagabati is coming,
The chants from the Chandipatha calling,
Calling us.

Bhagabati is coming, coming,
Devi Durga seated on a lion,
Ten-armed Goddess,
The Mother Divine is coming.

The Mythical She, the Mystical She is
Whose creation is this universe,
Devi Durga is coming, coming.
Representing valour, chivalry and undaunted courage.
