The Coming War Scares My Kids Poem by MOHAMMAD SKATI

The Coming War Scares My Kids

I don't like wars nor my kids Because wars are scary and horrible, I witnessed wars here and there, but I never participated in any war ever, Wars are against everyone and everything Because they bring ugly chaos and destruction, I don't think any human being loves any war Except those who are behind these ugly wars, Wars only bring miseries and chaos to everyone And to everything anytime, anywhere, and everywhere, The sounds of the flying war planes and all the War equipment are heard everywhere and anywhere, In the battlefield a lot of dead soldiers and A lot of causalities are seen here and there, The ugly snipers shoot innocent lives and turn Them into dead corpses scattered here and there, At war there is no love at all, but always the Spirit of revenge prevails in the battlefield, Ruined buildings, destroyed vehicles, burnt Armored vehicles, destroyed tanks, and everything are seen, The image of life is totally and greatly absurd And everything turns sad and gloomy anytime there, At war there are no pretty rules or criteria to Advance things on the ground except the spirit of killing, No one is a winner and no one is a loser because It's not the suitable time to know what's going on, so Only the ugly spirit of war and the ugly spirit of Revenge prevail over there anytime and everywhere.
