The Conformist Poem by wungreiyon Moinao

The Conformist

The exuberance of the day
no one dare to deny.
woven with the latest outfit
to be looked as 'ONE'.
conspicuous in every deed
The real 'self' diminish,
In the wide enchanting adaptability.
oh! conformist

crayons hair to get peers.
A well turn of speech
less an outdated being.
a pin piercing outfit
rather comfort earns attention.
obsessed with:
sale at Reebok! ADDIDAS! PUMA! LOTTO!
name it all.
in void of these
none can be within the group of 'ONE'.
oh! conformist! ! !

''Bottoms up! comm'n
don't be the holy one''
each gulp, a step away from the world
And a step closer to obsequies.
Destiny calls out
yet dipped in the moment, goes unheard.
oh! conformist

every man a moral being:
the knowledge of both ways.
oft choose the broader road
And the conscience splits;
the one halve willing to fly out
the other halve calls back
trapped in a cage of time.
oh! conformist.
