The Curious Tale Of Pongo Poem by Karl Newton

The Curious Tale Of Pongo

Once upon a rainy Tuesday afternoon
There lived a
Pink
Fat
Glittery
Elephant
Called Pongo

Pongo lived
In a big blue
Wooden house
With a green slime
Swimming pool
In the outer most
Corner of
The Moon

Of the many hobbies
Which Pongo loved
His favourite
By a hop, skip and dance
Was
Playing on his Bongo drums

His bongos were big
Shiny
And Gold
And he would
Ratter tap tap on them
From the second his eyes opened in the morning
Until the minute they shut at night
Tap Tap Tapping away
Playing a Samba Beat
And making
All the moon creatures
Dance and Laugh around
All day long
