She arrives at dawn summoning the bird's awakening
Flying as her light illuminates
Twinkles through the dawn and paints the sky with pink fingers
Warms the earth and brings a new day
Creeps across the land clearing frost and ice
Peaks round corners with fingers outstretched
Greeting those who wake with her welcome cheer
She brings warmth to the air
Light energy causing growth in plants
Her warmth envelops the earth
Wrapping her silken rays across the land
Too much brings drought, food scarcity, hardship
And lands that are covered in sand
Arid and hot
High in the Arctic she limits and extends her appearance by season
Her absence brings permafrost, darkness and depression.
Thick snow, icicles, creaking trees and skating, snowmen, skis
She leaves particles in the atmosphere which are electrically charged
Dancing green and glorious pink aurora
Softly she descends to your horizon
Cascading light to the antipodes
As darkness descends another corner brightens
