The Dark Forces Of Yesteryear Are Still Around Poem by Hebert Logerie

Believe it or not, friends; the dark forces are still around
They tweet, write, speak, sing, laugh, and produce sound
They are on Facebook, in the schools, and in government
They are elected, selected to be Governors, and President.

The dark forces linger on. They are powerful and vociferous
They breathe the same air that we inhale. They're dangerous
They are very tricky. They smile with soul shut and heart closed
They are hypocrites, and clear smoke comes out of their nose.

No, I am not talking about Darth Vader or the Trojan horses
I am telling about actual or real devils who are well powdered
They surround us. We mingle with them. They are the forces
That we must defeat in order to survive. They're well mannered.

Gals and guys, this is very serious. We must be extremely careful.
Perhaps, we're naïve and slow, but we're no fools. This is no bull.
