The Darwinian Paradox Poem by Raymond Farrell

The Darwinian Paradox

Rating: 5.0

The Darwinian paradox
The conundrum
Every geneticist
Must ponder
And come to terms with
Is this
Genes clearly variable
Within natural populations
Are not the basis
Of major adaptive changes
But other genes
Forming the very foundations
Of significant adaptive changes
Are not variable
Within natural populations.

Aloha Raymond... It is my most profound pleasure to read this intriguing prose... words working to incite thought... on an issue far above the majority of the readership... on any site... bravo my brother... to phantom, in medicinal terms, the intrinsically complex nature of genetics as we now know this to be... and compare the 18th century mindset of an aspiring watcher such as Darwin... in simplistic words he changed the mindset of many in his generation... and this simplicity misguided the world even until this current daze... Darwinists continue to thwart the movement forward to the truth of what our species is... The conundrum, not the basis, not variable; the antithesis against his thesis... generally speaking at this moment... What could be more alien to this planet, than the species human? What species could inflict such damage to an ecosystem such as this species does... there are several viral type species that can destroy as does humanity... but these do so without much thought... for they are genetically designed to destroy... humanity destroys by choice... and this choice is exacerbated by teaching and instruction and how our species holds on to its thoughts of manifest destiny... that Christian doctrine of US being all of that to god... above all other species placed upon this earth... The biggest question is one as this: is the human species a natural population to this ecosystem? This does not appear to be the reality... for 'we' are still crapping in our own rice bowl... and in no hurry to rectify this problem... perhaps geneticists should be searching for the gene that would link US as a species to this planet... and making this that flag to show all of humanity that we are indeed a prime variable and not an ever devastating unnatural and out of control variable... in the destruction of the Earth's environment in which our species thrives... like a virus colony in a petri dish... Thank you again for this fine effort and the truly good prose... All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two

There is a point in what you say. Interesting to note how this challenge is going to be met with by researchers, teacher, students et al of genetics. Thanks for sharing.

Within natural pollution still changes are necessary for purification with wise mind and attitudes. Very amazing sharing.10
