The Day We First Met Poem by Katherine Cobing

The Day We First Met

I was afraid for that was the time
The moment I last called you mine
Memories drifted apart
So vivid and clear like you are to me

I was walking alone in that narrow road
When you passed by looking hungry and cold
My heart went out and it was set to fire by you
You who chased the fear away
You who was never blue

But it was like a game of destiny
When i was falling for you, my baby
And I learned to play the game of love
The kind of love i longed to have

Now i was left by our memories so sad
Came a thought, how could you be so bad
Under the rain I was dripping wet
My memory of the day we first met.
