The Days Of Me Poem by derrick foster

The Days Of Me

Some days buried in a book
some days tied to a screen
some days embroiled i conversation
some days the shy one
some days loud as hell
some days subdued in silence
some days the loyal confidant
some days the enemy suspected
some days better than others
some days a strong worker
some days the sleepy head
some days misunderstood
some days a badgered saint
some days the great debater
most days the ordinary
other days a quiet Buddha
most days the odd man out
other days the go-to-guy
everyday the human being
today waiting to be called upon
all days ever compliant
everyday an intelligent observer
any day just ask diligently
any day a polite stranger
some days still indignant
some days a witty challenger
some days an innocent child
other days the reprimanding parent
other days a gallant knight
other days heartfelt king
most days the welcoming spirit
most days a kind missionary
other days over emphasized
always one to lean on
always a pillar of excellence
always soulful saint
today an imaginative kid
today the creative jester
everyday just... me
