The Days Of Pretenses.....
there are always days of
pretenses
no guilt, deep within,
everyone is indulging to
this past time of living
what we are not and what
we cannot become
as the mind compensates
with imagined invincibility
x-ray visions, telekinetic energy,
flight, levitation,
invisibility, and the numbness
of all rocks
the earth combined.
