The Dead Mosquito Poem by olam soj

The Dead Mosquito

It was dark and lovely,
i felt so hungry.
the breeze,
so cool like it blown at the beach.
indeed,
a lovely night, i should stay in peace.

The down, so scary
they look so hairy
i wish never to come down if the air was to be found the red thing
i wish my life without it could be the same thing.

The choice stuff was lost
down, dangerous i knew it was
i felt so dizy,
they look drowsy.

The dangerous down, i went.
but never knew when i left
or the reason why I'm here.

aha yes! A wonderful picture of the 'mozzie' as we call them in Ireland....although I don't know why seeing as we don't have mosquitoes in Ireland! ! ! I remember being in Kenya once where the place was riddled with them....nasty things...but I guess all God's creatures have a right to live even if it is only for a very short time with those blasted insects! ! ! Good composition, keep it up, you have a succinct if not subtle poetic voice. Well done! ! Your friend, in verse, Ruth
