The Dead Will Rise Poem by Eric Joseph Lopez

The Dead Will Rise

I faltered one last time
Within the life ageless
I heard the rain falling
Walking by are angels

In the center of broken
I reach for the outside
Senses are my infinite
Bad dreams have died

I open the door n step
Under the candle light
Walking my arms open
To the mysterious sky

Seen the dead children
Playing running freely
Heard their voices talking
As they walk towards me

Feeling the love around
As we all started dancing
Circling n holding hands
First time I’m breathing

My life was never so kind
Hidden behind a disguise
But now I’m truly happy
Because the dead will rise

I’ve felt this hole filled
That was once broken
I seen the gate closing
As enter into heaven

Scattered are the flowers
For our love of freedom
Walking on the golden
Into our God kingdom
