The Deepest Hurt Poem by Gary James Smith

The Deepest Hurt

Rating: 5.0

The Deepest Hurt

The deepest hurt of a wounded heart
Can have a healing balm
And be restored to newness of life
That hitherto was unknown
By the Holy Spirit of God
Grace gives us perfect peace
When we repent of our wayward ways
The joybells never cease

For thanksgiving becomes spontaneous
When we've been forgiven for sin
Our abundant life spreads abroad
From our meaningful life within
For who cannot share with another
Of the love of God in Christ
Who though He knew no sin Himself
Became for us sins Sacrifice

We can always have a live stream with God
For from the moment of our sins confessing
The blood of Christ which cleanses from sin
Procures a continual fountain of blessing
His Spirit quickens and makes alive
Hallelujah what a Saviour
Help me Lord to do your will
And to be found in God's favor!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
