The Depths Of Depression Poem by Raymond Lewis

The Depths Of Depression

I'm drowning into a hopelessly dark sea
Where worthlessness and absence are the only guarantee.
All pleasure and interpersonal enjoyment remain depleted
Because a void of nothingness leaves me maltreated.
My life is darkening like the setting sun;
A lingering guilt forever consumes me.
I can't escape this feeling, its beyond overdone.
This terrible anguish haunts me like a ghost
So I can sleep at night no longer.
Learning to make decisions seems like the most
Within myself. Life requires too much energy for me
So I should just kill myself, don't you agree?
