The Devil Has Waxed My Heart
The Devil has waxed my heart
His cold ways have left their mark
Not strong enough to fight him off
He lingers, laughs, and scoffs
His cold ways cloak this heart of mine
Hardening the wax refined
Until the pressures may break it like glass
Only one Man can say, ' This Too Shall Pass.'
In God all strength is divine
And He will take this heart of mine
Give it warmth and say
I will mold your waxen clay
So I give to Him my trials many
And He will give back in plenty
Helping me shut out the Devil's ways
And move on to brighter days
