The Dreaded Examinations Poem by Susanna Andrews

The Dreaded Examinations

Exams are round the corner
And I don't know what to do!
They keep telling me to study,
I don't think that'll happen, do you?

I have to keep on studying,
Till I lose my mind.
What if I fail, what will they say,
All those who care and are kind?

I cannot repeat the seventh grade,
I'll probably die if I do.
And when my parents get to know about this,
I think they probably will, too!

My head starts aching whenever I study,
This isn't a story, it's true.
If I don't get good marks in all the subjects,
I'll get it, black and blue.

So I guess I'll have to try my best,
And work hard to succeed,
'cause after I complete these dreaded exams,
I will be completely freed!
