The Dream Cycle Poem by Daniel Bellerose

The Dream Cycle

Rating: 5.0

All existence spins in harmony
Beings grasp hands and allow the rhythm to overtake them
Ripples of peace flow throughout the earth
Humans, animals, plants, all things are one
The seeds of consciousness are sewn throughout time
Once planted, they split violently and brilliance grows from their skulls
Brilliance so bright that it blinds the brightest star
Dreams flow from the saplings limbs, feeding it until it grows tall
So tall that the greatest mountains cowers below it
A dream so great that the world stopped spinning and waited, breathless
Waited for the drop of an idea in the sea of existence
Working, sweating for an idea in the fields of the mind
When suddenly, out of the darkness of the unconscious memory
Comes a droplet, which starts the whole world rippling and continues the dream cycle
