The Dreamer Poem by Bancroft Boreland

The Dreamer

I dream, like many of us do
Of a peaceful world where we are all free
Our world is a wounded world
Overpopulated with broken hearts and sorrowful souls
A world of pieces
That I seek to bring together
To make a whole
Life is eroded with every moment that passes by
There are but two realities;
We live and we die

Creating a peaceful world
Is a monumental task
But it is possible
Armies and weapons may win wars
Yet only pure hearts can win peace
I cannot achieve this dream alone
I need you
So help me if you are a dreamer too.
