The Dusk Poem by Nosheen Irfan

The Dusk

Rating: 5.0

a changing sky,
dabbled in the orange and red
of a setting sun,
glazing with its precious hues
the restful sea
and the sleepy hills
that moment,
when the world turns golden
just before the darkness takes over
a moment worth an eternity.

The twilight hours just before darkness invades the Earth is a time that sets every imaginative and aesthetic soul dance in joy.....! Who can turn their backs to an evening sky.... an exquisite canvas of colors! That spectacular scene so beautifully captured in minimum words!

The sky changes its appearance from moment to moment. Each moment has its own charm. One can enjoy the beauty of the setting sun recollecting its journey from its birth. Liked your last three lines the most.

Beautiful. One should learn,1; how to part a moment from another moment, and then,2; how to keep oneself stayed in a particular moment.. :) . yes, the moment this poem is about is nature's magic

Those hues that remind us that Shakespeare would fail miserably to define their color. Only for those precious moments do these colors reveal themselves and yet I confess to believe that in all of the sunsets throughout all time no two of them held a similar hue. Your poem reads like a lullaby to the day as it slips into slumber. No word or sentiment misplaced or in need of addition. The fruits of an inspired mind! ! 10

Do you paint in oils as well as words? ? ? This is a beautifully poetic landscape- -I feel as if I am lying in a meadow surrounded by green rolling hills and fragrant wildflowers and watching the birds rowing home across the sunsetting sky.... thank you for giving your reader a moment of peace and meditation and beauty! 109++
