The Earth
Think of the Earth as your closest friend,
Shut your eyes tightly and pretend,
Don't help your friend and his life will end,
The help that he needs is yours to lend.
Think of the things that you could do,
Turn off the TV, your laptop, that's two,
When leaving the room, switch off the lights,
Don't frequently go on aeroplane flights,
Try very hard not to travel by car,
Walk or bike if it's not very far,
When you brush your teeth, turn off the tap,
Persuade you parents to recycle, not scrap,
Try hard to keep your heating down low,
And help our friend, the Earth, so,
In generations to come nothing bad will happen,
It's time for us all to take immediate action,
If the Earth really is our mate,
Is it a good idea to treat him with hate?
Now is the time to stop Global Warming,
Act now, the result could be transforming.
