The Earth Is Cursed

The earth is cursed through sin and shame –Gen.3: 17
Through Adam and his wife
To take the curse Christ Jesus came
And bless the soil with life

Now what we eat we so become
Can form a child of sin –Gen.3: 18
Yet from The Lord the smallest crumb –Jn.6: 25-66
Can change the heart within

From bread alone can no one live
Can’t flee from death or ill
But through Christ’s blood, the food He’ll give
We’ll eat from life our fill Jn.6: 68

We’re free to drink The Master’s cup
The flesh of Christ receive
Be in His presence lifted up
May through His grace believe

From God’s true word our Spirits thrive
We come to understand –Lk.24: 45
From inside out we come alive
To bloom in Jesus’ hand –Jn.4: 13-14

Who’s faith is in God’s only Son
Who’ve sought The Lamb on high
Who’ll stand until life’s war is won
Will live and never die

For as Christ’s blood the soil caressed –Lk.22: 44
Engaged tormented earth
Through burning love with His breast
He gives us second birth

Spiritual birth of truth and Light
God’s image from within
Forever to live in robes of white
When free of filth and sin…
