The Earth's Abusers Poem by Francis Duggan

Though for the abuse of our Earth many of them mostly to blame
They live the good lives without any sense of guilt or shame
They cause the pollution oflakes and oceans and every waterway
Some of the known billionaires of the Human World of today
Their workers with big machines for Mother Earth's wealth dig big holes in the ground
People who have become very wealthy out of environmental abuse Worldwide in numbers abound
The main cause of damage to the natural environment is human greed
Our greed for Nature's riches a sad reflection on humanity indeed
The Earth losing so much of her beauty in the creation of every millionaire
Far too few people in the World who are environmentally aware
Due to human greed more natural habitat for wildlife being destroyed every day
And more trees are being removed we treat our Mother Earth in a disrespectful way
For our abuse of our natural environment future generations of people will pay
And of us they will not have any nice things to say.
