The End

Flames licking the surface of the earth,
Shadows falling from corner to corner,
Ice, water, and fire,
I say fire.

Smoke bellowing all around and inside the planet,
People running,
Screaming for help,
Ice, water, and fire,
I say fire.

The roar and crackle of fire close behind,
The fire caressing each child and parent the same,
A hot fiery touch,
A cry breaking through the molases like fire making it's way from house to house,
Another cry heard through the suffacating silence,
Then another, and another,
Finally the cries settle,
The fire enveloping all that is left.
Ice, water, and fire,
I say fire.

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
