The End Of The Day Poem by Paul Warren

The End Of The Day

Darkness shrouds the day
Light retreats away
A clear winter night
The sun barely put up a fight

Settled in my comfortable chair
Fire crackles as into it I stare
The concerns of the day retreat
As I slowly drift off to sleep.
