The Ending Of 2009 Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Today as I reflect upon the ending of a year
I do so with thankfulness…I have persevered
I have had the opportunity to look death in the eye
I have experienced what it might be like to die

Days have become more dear and increased in value
I am blessed with the chance for my life to continue
I have found wealth is measured by the love and kindness
Family and friends give meaning to completeness

The coming year is like a gift... tied with a great big bow
As I approach my seventieth birthday... I'll pass on what know
Without delay, praise each day… if you already haven't
May your New Year be brimming with happiness and fulfillment
