The Eternal Rose Poem by Stevan Conn

The Eternal Rose

Rating: 5.0

Each petal unfolds,
another gift to the world
You presented so much beauty,
A lesson we all learned
It doesn't matter which one was mine
Because you bloomed every one
And touched all our lives

At times a long road, with many a thorn
And for so long that bud didn't open
But you never faltered, You never seemed scared
You faced every storm with the heart of the brave
A rose is eternal and it holds so much beauty
And you learned to open each petal
So for me I'm so grateful, we had you so long
To see you bloom, to see your potential

For every rose you hope each bud will open
And the rose can have its full glory
Each day, every year for a lifetime
Revealing its own story
Now your rose presents everyone of us
The majesticity befitting your life
Let us never forget, the joy the rose brings
Always remember the rose and believe.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem about by grandmother when she passed away. She was always an enigma of love and only through her life did we really get to understand that love. When she died, I knew she gave each one of us love, unfolding in a different way to each of us. Each love unfolded like a petal, I appreciated her bloom.
