The Fairy Of The Hill (A Poem For Children) Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

The Fairy Of The Hill (A Poem For Children)

Rating: 5.0

The old lady Jill
Who had fallen ill
Took a golden pill
From a fairy who lived on the hill.

The blessed lady Jill
Was not only cured of her ill
But she was very surprised and thrilled
To turn into a girl young and beautiful.

The beautiful girl Jill
Then married a young man named Bill
Who too had once taken a fairy pill
When he had fallen ill.

The reverse of ageing with the '' fairy pill '', is a fantastic concept in this well-written poem with lovely rhythm and rhyme.

Thanks for this lovely poem which has an interesting tale to tell. This may compete with the well known nursery rhymes of the past. Loved reading it.
