The Father Of My Kids Poem by Dorcas Jeptoo

The Father Of My Kids

I married this man
The man of my dreams
Our home was a little heaven
Had blessings of two little angels
The father of my kids

All of a sudden
Our home turned into hell
I thought he was truly in love with me
But now I can't believe
The man I love is a monster
The father of my kids

A home of wrangles, tears and agony
A nest of thorns, no peace
A flood of beer
What happened?
What happened,
To the man we knew as loving
The happy, jovial, kind person?
The father of my kids

As I look back, we pray to God
Hoping our real Dad & Husband will be back
Back to home of love, joy and happiness
Some day we'll be one
We still love you
The father of my kids
