The Fire Within The Heart Of Man Poem by Dr John Celes

The Fire Within The Heart Of Man

An unknown fire rages in
The hearts of human beings born,
When they start knowing world at large,
Smoldering, lingering, bursting aflame -
The search for truth and Maker, God!

The fire seethes and blazes tall;
Sometimes, it keeps a low profile;
Nevertheless, it stays untamed,
Undoused and ne'er can be put out!

The fire grows, glows scorching things,
Refining golden truth again,
Until the heart of man tranquil
Becomes with wisdom / truth distilled!

The fire lasts one's life-time oft,
And draws the fuel from the Lord,
Who loves all souls He made with love -
Infinite, unfathomed, boundless!

Lovingly dedicated to my dear father,
(Late) Shri.A.T.Antoniswami M.A.L.T., CBE
On his birth anniversary today
On behalf of his beloved wife, children and their families

When an earthly father's love remains unrequited,
can we ever repay the love of our Almighty Father?
