THE FLAVOUR OF UNTASTED SIN

THE FLAVOUR OF UNTASTED SIN

Muhammad Hameed Shahid

I lick with my eagerly

Covetous tongue the lips

Savouring of deliciousness

This sweetness has seeped down

In my whole being

The tongue, all the same

Licks on lips persistently,

Producing rashes on both

I am taken aback

As my palates

The acrimony of my blood

So we confront each other…

Myself and the blood acrimony

But the guilt, whose

Savour persistently steeped in

My body…stood blatantly

Behind, mocking at me

In the mirror
