The Food Of All Nations Poem by Francis Duggan

The Food Of All Nations

In this City I see people from every Land
And some speak in a language that I do not understand
Of every shade of skin colour black, brown and white
To breathe in the same air we all have that right
In a World of many Cultures the Cultures do meet
The evidence for all to see on every Street
Cafes and takeaways from all cultures one can't help but see
From India and Turkey, Greece and Italy
From China and Thailand as well as Vietnam
Hungary and Africa and Pakistan,
The Americas, the British the Aussies as well
The food of all Nations you name it they sell
People from every Nation in one City you meet
In every Suburb and every Street.
