The Forgotten Poem by Jason Sailor

The Forgotten

sitting here
thinking
wondering

why am i here and not there
why are you there and not here

where all the same in a certain way
but at the same time where different

and yet we intertwine like vines
tangled in the forest of mystery

you sit in your group and no one notices
your surrounded by friends but your alone

off in the corner waiting for recognition
the bell rings no one has said a word to you

you walk off without even a glance

the following day it happens again
unnoticed,

just sitting there
waiting
wondering

should you do it?
or hope that someone notices

start tying the rope

cause no will one will notice
you wont be there tomorrow

your about to become a part of the noticed
but you wont get to feel the attention

its too late for that
you've already joined
