The Fruit Barrow Boy Poem by vince gullaci

The Fruit Barrow Boy

The barrow boy
cut and sold pumpkins
potatoes and onions were his trade
out in the heat
nursed his hands
in the cold
dreamt his dreams
refusing to be boxed
in a slot.
