The Game Of Life Poem by Francis Duggan

The Game Of Life

Life is like a game of rugger
Don't give an inch or he'll take a yard
Don't give way to the other bugger
To keep on top you must play hard.

Life is like a game of poker
If you're a bluffer you will thrive
You must live like cheating money broker
Or else you struggle to survive.

Enemies you have and plenty
And friends are few so very few
To every friend you've got there's twenty
Who try their best to downgrade you.

Success taste sweet so very sweet
Money making is what life's about
Nobody knows you when you are beat
If you are down then you are out.

The game of life is a winner's game
So be a winner if you can
You must play hard for to win your fame
Nobody knows a beaten man.
