Power is largely a diabolical mistake. The exceptions might be interesting, but more like disappointing.
However, this is a poor person's perspective on the subject.
Maybe you can start with not being disappointed, choose something very interesting, not make a mistake and it's not so diabolical. But what is left is something small, and not always powerful.
True power is arbitrary someone might say, and it is arbitrary (that is what is powerful) .
You might say it's one-dimensional, or that it is for the righteous. It's not heroic, it's more like a game. Not quite a pastime, sort of a play for those in the know. Not too amusing. Sort of like having a lot of money, or tolerance for cruelty.
Like owning horses, or defending cities.
