The Game That We Play Poem by Marilyn White

The Game That We Play

We think that we are the outcast
Because we got are talent
That they are jealous of and because
Of that we get shunned out of the world
Because we are filling are heads with
The reality that is out there and trying
To make it work the best way we know how
You can look at us we are not the same
You can tell the dreamers a part from
The searchers and the ones that found
There place in this world and are trying
We have are cycle but it is more
Important because we are trying
To stay alive here in this place because
We not going to be drowned by all
You selfishness and lack of pride
We don’t need to stand out in the crowd
We already do enough of that by just
Being us and going with the flow
And that is the other side friend
