The Game They Play Poem by Marilyn White

The Game They Play

They think that they are cool
Yeah they got all there cell phones
The cars with the rims and systems
While there brain is being fried
By the drugs sex and lies
That they are faced with
You look at them all the same
You ask one about the other
You will be sure to get the scoop
Bragging and whinnying is
What they do best without
A doubt in my mind the drama
Of the cycle that they have to face
What makes them better because
You got all the good things that people
Look for the money the clothe the looks
Yeah that’s is good but what is it
Really getting you besides something
A defiant later tonight the hook up
But did you know that there is another side
