The Ghost Poem by Lama Mando

The Ghost

I ve been asked,
'Have you been there? '
'No of course not'
My mask answered.
I've been asked
Many times asked
And I keep asking myself,
What have I put on the shelf?
A face? a couple of eyes?
A place? NO NO
A piece of my soul
That's all.
But who are you?
How dare you ask?
You are a ghost
In deed, a ghost
A caring one,
loving
gentle
great
glorious one
And surely fascinating one.
But who am I?
I desperately want to know
Am I a doll?
Am I a mark on the wall?
Am I too tall?
Am I quite small?
O' dear, tell me please
whisper, just whisper
Right into my ears,
For I am sure, quite sure
You 've got the keys
BUT,
Do they know?
''Who are they to know? '
No body knows
'No body reads'
'They simply can't'
'completely illiterate'
Though it is clear, quite clear
It's everywhere far and near
BUT,
No more is to be said
Nothing is to be done
There is no need, really no need
No one
No one will ever read

There is no need, really no need,
No one,
No one will ever read.
