And one stormy night
While wandering far off site
A raven took refuge
On the deck of a ghost ship
Laying its dark breast
On the ships wobbly crest
It spoke into the mouth
of the hostess
‘’Ahoy sailors friend
I have come to take shelter
in thy pretty vest
Soft as a fair maiden’s chest
With clairvoyant promises
of a fair earned rest
In times of great despair
On a perilous quest’”
Upon hearing this twist
The silver sail screeched
As its hub gleamed
A ludicrous half smile
When it answered
‘’Oh gentle knight
Of shadows bright
On this tempest night
What comfort might I cast?
That would make last
On my scrimpy hide
A blight to mankind
For I am but half dead
From a broken hull
To tarnished dreams
What lavish beams
Had I dreamt in early years
Of distant lands
Of castles and queens
Of nuggets
And diamond hearts
To set sail as a virgin bride
Alas! Had I known better
About stormy weather
Or had I been forewarned
Of villainous thunder bolts
And assaulting cannon balls
By them pirates blunder
I would have avoided
Rampaging my physique
By not exposing my cleavage
Just a quarter of a millimeter
To have escaped, a child
Than becoming a fine prize
For a drooling monster
All in vain
For its no time now
For lamentations
Or felicitations
For my time here is almost spent
Upon a buccaneers vent
Lying here is just my reflection
Mocking at a meagre skeleton
Tell me my prince
What comfort may I cast thee
At such a poignant plight? ”
Upon saying these words
A teardropp rolled out
of unfathomable eyes
Landing right into the eyes
of the black bird
Blinding his vision
It pierced a raven’s
Freezing his heart
The ship jostled once
Under the surging spray
It masts blasted away
In the roaring storm
Till nothing remained at morn
But a swaying mass of foam
Circling a dark floating corpse
Upon which lay,
A single white rose
