The Girl And A Lady Poem by Kathrine Yee Baraquia

The Girl And A Lady

a little girl and a grown up lady,
what are the differences between the two?
It's not the make up,
nor the body and the things you can see.
It's more of being true to what she feels.

A young girl would give love
expecting nothing in return.
she hugs with no hesitation.
she apologizes with no pride.
she cries without pretention.
She plays and make new friends,
then that little girl moves on.

Now here comes a grown up lady
who can manage to smile even when she's hurt.
Who can offer a kiss even when she doesn't really care.
who will never say sorry even when she wants to make things right.
who will date all the guys and still someone owns her heart...

what is the secret of that little child?
what makes it easier for them and hard for us?
Maybe it's not the age that make people stronger.
Sometimes, being a child make hard things simple.
