The Glory Found Poem by Neil Solan

The Glory Found

The victim slowly follows the target
Without fear, without fear.
Alone he stands by the side of the road;
There's no-one near, there's no-one near.

Facts and stats mean nothing
When I am down, when I am down,
Why does the smog never leave
This damn town, when I am down?

We aim up high but we fall from grace
Back to the ground, back to the ground.
Nobody here has seen my face,
Pass it around, pass it around.

Open your eyes but close your mind,
Forever be, forever see,
I can't stay here without my dime,
Let me be, let me be:

All around, the glory found,
Comes back around
And drags her down.
