The Gods And Goddesses Are Drunk! Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

The Gods And Goddesses Are Drunk!

Rating: 5.0

Tones, tunes!
Traditions,
Customs,
Tongues, languages!
Cultures,
With the heritage of the people in my land;
But the Gods and Goddesses they worship are drunk!
Yes, everywhere you go in the land,
The traditions demand strong drinks from you to serve their Gods and Goddesses;
Hot drinks! ! !
For example, a bottle of Schnapps or, some bottles of Schnapps;
To pour libations to the Gods and Goddesses.
Surfer, suffer!
Instead of the progress of the land,
We rather see regression everywhere with poverty bathing my people!
Sad to say,
The Gods and Goddesses are drunk!
While my people live in poverty.

It is time somebody spearheaded a campaign against obscurantism and occultism in those parts of the world which are still in the grip of such damaging rituals. Thanks for sharing. The Gods and Goddesses are drunk! While my people live in poverty.
