The Good Fight Poem by jacob mathews

The Good Fight

When darkness looms and shadows lengthen
When demons come out to torment with their brethren
When mind grows weary..heart ages
And panic with a glee dance around the edges

When failures stab as they please
And surrender whispers sweet release
When hope becomes a mirage and distant
And the end seems sure in an instant

A last stand..to fight the good fight
Once more into the fray with all your might
Shouting defiance with your last breath
To feast with the gods on your death
