The Grasshopper Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

The Grasshopper

To the daughters of music!
Wine is made for making life pleasant.

To the sons of men,
Light is truly sweet; so, do come out of darkness! !

Of the day before and of the day after,
Grandchildren are the crown of old men.

The stone rolled away from the entrance!
But, money is made for everything.

The grasshopper!
Which day is the first day of the week?

Let the earth be released and let salvation spring up!
And let the skies pour down righteousness.

Whoever mocks the poor insults his Maker!
But, a wicked man accepts a secret bribe.

The fact of life and the ways of mankind on this earth!
But, life depends on how you were raised.

Eating meat!
Your life is your choice and, it is in your own hands.

The grasshopper!
Whoeoever sows iniquity will reap vanity.
