The Handcuffed Silence Poem by Paul Hartal

The Handcuffed Silence

With brown vertiginous descent
staring out of crimson crevices
the dreams followed bubbling
in remembrance of their lost identity.

And then sleeping and waking,
the silence rose handcuffed
in a gruff gulf of the musing mind
holding a mulling mirror of life.
