The Hardest Price To Pay! Poem by Emma Jane Rae

The Hardest Price To Pay!

The best things in life,
They don't come for free,
They come with a price,
Of complete agony,
It's lies and deceit,
And everything in between,
It's heartache and sadness,
Your eyes haven't see,
It's manic highs,
And even lower lows,
It's going to a dark place,
That no one knows,
It's taking your perfect life,
And turning it upside down,
It's taking away your smile,
And replacing it but a frown,
It's loosing all your money,
But you don't know why,
It's hysterical laughter,
Followed by a sorrowful cry,
It takes away love,
And it takes away fun,
It replaces happiness,
And leaves you feeling numb,
It turns you deceitful,
And into a liar too,
But you've chose drugs,
And now they've taken you,
The love of my life,
Is now a stranger to me,
And because of his lies,
He's broken my whole family,
I'm a straight talking girl,
And I can't pretend,
It will never be the same,
So this has to be the end
