The Hateful Darkness Poem by Yvonne Darlene Hogan

The Hateful Darkness

The wind calls thoroughly through the trees,
But yet no one hears
the sound of it calling
fragile as snapping bones
death brought to them all
Do you feel alone?
The darkness comes
Yet never gone
for even in light,
The wind will still bow to it.
The trees will still seem cold
For the darkness
can never warm the day or night.
