The Heat Poem by Kimoni White

The Heat

My anger is held in trying not to burst
But the good Lord kept me from making it worse
Maybe I'll hold my breath under water so i can cool down
But it's just one person that makes me frown

The heat is rising
and calmness is dying
My fist are balled ready to swing
But i'm still trying to get rid of this thing

The heat is taking over
But some is still sober
But I thank God for watching my shoulder

Cause now the heat has become frozen
Again it's me the Lord has chosen
